RWenergy builds largest photovoltaic system in Austria

With a module area of approximately 19,624 m², RWenergy GmbH, a subsidiary of the Rädlinger Group, built the largest solar park in Austria in Neudorf an der Mur. For its official opening, Managing Director Werner Rädlinger (3rd from left) cut a ribbon, together with Mayor Franz Hierzer (left), Bernd Ebner from E-Werk Ebner (4th from left), Josef Gründl from Sonnenkraftwerk GmbH (5th from left) and Thomas Jauschowetz from the Volksbank, amongst others.

Within a 12 week period, the RWenergy team installed around 160 tonnes of steel for the substructure, laid more than 100 cables and installed 12,000 modules, over an area of 5.6 hectares. The annual output of the system of approximately 3,163 MWh covers the average electricity requirements of approximately 750 four-person households. At the same time, more than 2.8 million kg CO2  are saved per year by the green electricity.
